Nobody has more experience growing grapes in Marlborough than Allan Scott. Allan planted some of the region's most famous vineyards, including the very first and has worked the land there every vintage since. Many of the vineyards he developed have gone on to win global recognition. In 1985, Allan bought land in the Rapaura district of Marlborough. This was to become the home of the family wine making venture.

A bright and expressive nose with notes of white peach, passionfruit and pineapple. The palate bursts with citrus, lime and a hint of blackcurrant leaf. The mouthfeel is electric and lively with a long dry finish.

Joe Babich favours 'a fuller, riper, softer style of Sauvignon Blanc'. It's not a jump out of the glass style, but the wines develop well. The latest releases reflect a rising input of grapes from the company's Cowslip Valley vineyard in the Waihopai Valley, which gives less herbaceous fruit characters that it's other Marlborough vineyards. This smooth wine features strong, ripe flavours of melons and limes, moderate acidity and a rounded, rich finish - great drinkability and well regarded all over the world.

Babydoll's BABYDOLL sheep live beneath the vines, nibbling on grass and weeds and giving their name to these delicious wines. Small but mighty, they're wonderful groundskeepers. Yes, they need a little help to keep the mowing going. But it's all for the good of the grapes.

This Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from vineyards throughout Marlborough's Wairau Valley. A range of carefully selected aromatic and texture enhancing yeasts were used during fermentation. Parcels of wine were tasted and blended with precision to create a delicious Sauvignon Blanc which showcases classic Marlborough character.

While the classic expression of this famous wine style is about fruit purity and crispness, this wine represents an alternative interpretation. 'Abstract' is a departure from the norm. This wine is all about texture and layers of aromatic complexity derived from both fruit and winemaking. The Holdaway family vineyard in Dillons Point provides the pillar of blackcurrant, passionfruit and its signature salty minerality, while the 100% wild yeast fermentation in seasoned French oak puncheons offers savoury attraction and complexity on the palate.

Our sauvignon blanc offers a refreshing tropical fruit profile with aromas of passionfruit, guava and lemongrass. Flavours on the palate mimic the bouquet with a crisp acidity and typical marlborough minerality.

The palate has concentrated white nectarine and peach flavours and is rich and textural with a fresh, lasting finish.

The aromatics are fresh and expressive with pink grapefruit, passionfruit, elderflower and gentle herbal notes with elements of richer tropical fruits. The palate is medium weight, gentle and fresh with excellent flavour persistence. This is complimented by underlying flinty and mineral notes.

Clos Henri Sauvignon Blanc, expresses a distinctive minerality (flintiness) and elegance underlined with excellent fruit purity. It is a wine of complexity and great aging potential.
