Blending the Maude Pinot Noir is one of their favourite and most important tasks. Each year, the magical blend from the Poison Creek and Mohawk Hill vineyards changes. Maintaining the pedigree of the Maude Pinot Noir is absolutely critical; but achieving this requires flexibility with both the blend as well as the technique as both vary with each vintage. RUA Pinot Noir has a rich and generous palate, with black cherry, raspberry and plum notes supported by vanilla and classic Central Otago dried herbs. A subtle spiciness adds to the complexity. The silky tannins are well integrated in this fresh and vibrant Central Otago Pinot Noir.

This Syrah includes a touch of Viognier, a traditional winemakeing technique in France's Rhone Valley. It introduces a delightful floral aroma and supple texture to Syrah's spicy dark berry flavours.

An elegant expression of premium Rioja vines made from Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo. Aged for four years, Reserva perfectly balances a fruity palate with hints of clove, pepper, vanilla and coconut.

Pure, ripe and youthful with a mineral and citrus fruits laden bouquet. Aromas of ripe grapefruit and white peach, a cold river stone earthy quality, baked apple and quince. There's a floral scent of mountain flowers while the oak shows a raw nut quality and is moderately intense. Youthful, taut and fresh as the wine touches the palate. Flavours of citrus and orchard fruits, oak spice and a silky texture. A dry wine with plenty of weight and poise, oak flavours include some baking spice and raw sugar sensations with fine tannins and acidity round out the mouthfeel. The Lionheart of Dandelion Vineyards is their old vine Barossa vineyard. These ancient, gnarled vines, many over a hundred years of age, are not only surviving but thriving on their own roots in some of the oldest soils on the planet. In the last week of April whole bunches of Shiraz were hand harvested, then gently crushed and naturally fermented in open fermenters for eight days, hand plunged twice a day, before careful basket pressing into some new but predominantly older French Oak Barriques to finish fermentation. After 18 months maturation and a racking in the same oak, we bottled our Lionheart without filtration or fining, to capture the essence of the vineyard. Dandelion Vineyards Lionheart is ready to drink and will reward cellaring and decanting.
