Established in 1994 and named after the landmark Wither Hills range that borders the vineyards, the Wither Hills expert team grow and craft expressive wines New Zealanders know and trust to represent quality. Wither Hills Hawke's Bay Syrah is crammed full of dark fruit, pepper, spice and floral notes an elegantly textured wine with seductive, lingering toasty oak. The essence of Hawke's Bay in a glass.

Deep ruby in appearance with aromas of dark fruit, such as blackcurrents, plums and boysenberries. Layered beneath there are also hints of tobacco, liquorice and cloves.

The wine shows a complex interplay of tropical fruit characters with elements of passion-fruit, mango and paw paw, supported by impressions of ripe gooseberries and dried herbs. It is fruity and mouth filling but yet has a refreshing spine of crisp acidity which keeps it focussed and helps draw out its length.

The harvest from these parcels is always carried out later because of the dominant varieties, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon. Careful vinification gives this wine depth, elegance and length in the mouth. The floral bouquet of the Cabernet variety is predominant in the wines youth but develops later towards the more complex aromas of a Grand Vin de Bordeaux. Beautiful deep colour with purple tints. Focused and fruity nose with faint toast in the background. The same fairly elegant aromatic combination flows through to the palate. A very accessible, supple, crisp Bordeaux.

In 2014, winemaker Jo Nash discovered an exceptional parcel of Shiraz which was gently crushed and then stored away in some ridiculously expensive French oak barrels to age for 12 months. This wine speaks for itself - minimal intervention, purity of fruit, Shiraz at its' best. This is a special occasion wine. Drink with like-minded wine lovers who enjoy sticking it to the man! Take a moment to admire the gorgeous colour of the wine, then it's a perfect match to charcuterie and cheese, char-grilled steak, or a meat pie.

Boasting fruit purity and an oak selection that would be the envy of the Big Boys, this is a Chard punching well above it's weight. Rich in peach and melon, a hint of buttermilk and vanilla, and finishing with a toasty, nutty complexity. A luxurious mouthfeel is lengthened and uplifted by dancing beads of acidity.

Everything you could want from a Rosé - refreshing aromas, juicy flavours, soft texture and a crisp, dry finish. Watermelon, strawberries and peach with a cheeky serving of Turkish Delight adorn the glass, refreshed by Tahitian limes to finish.

An opulent, oaky, buttery and toasty styled Chardonnay created with 100% oak barrel fermentation, 100% malolactic fermentation and oak aged in a mix of French and American oak.

This medium/dry sparkling wine shows an extraordinary concentration of blackcurrent, blueberry and strawberry characters while retaining great precision of fruit.

Exhibits aromas of blackberry, raspberry, spicy plum and toffee apple with hints of pomegranate and pepper. On the palate this rich intense wine displays spicy mulberry & ripe red cherry, Christmas pudding and chocolate notes, complemented by a seam of cranberry and star of anise.

An elegant nose with aromas of jam and red fruits like plum and cherry. The oak adds a hint of chocolate.
