The correlation is that much of what has come to be known as 'Supertuscans' or 'IGT' is simply lawless. People blending international varietals with indigenous varietals or not following the DOC laws and producing 'renegade wine.'

Tavernello Organico Sangiovese Rubicone IGT is obtained from Sangiovese, the most planted grape variety in Italy. This deep ruby red shows intense fruit aromas of blackberry and luxurious cherry, typical of Sangiovese. Best paired with tomato-based pastas, filled ravioli, hard cheeses and red meats.

The wine has lifted aromas of dark berries and spice, with a rich, full-flavoured palate of ripe plum, blueberry and vanilla. Finishing with soft tannins and excellent length, it tastes great now and will reward patient cellaring.

Light yellow gold in colour with aromas of citrus blossom and honey; lusciously sweet with lingering flavours of apricot, orange peel and toffee. Beautiful acidity holds the wine all together.
