The Brookfields Sun - Dried Malbec is an intensely coloured full bodied red wine. Plum, spice, liquorice, black fruits and French oak are all evident in this complete wine.

Aromas of black cherry, wild strawberry and star anise. The palate is soft and pillowy with a racing-stripe of boysenberry ripple through it. There are dark roses, raspberries, and notes of sandalwood and liquorice.

Connoisseurs often drink this strange brew in conjunction with other beverages which complement, or mask, the delicate flavour of Purple Death.

Plum, cherry, and cedar aromas. The palate has a sweet fruit entry with subtle spiciness and soft, gentle tannins.

This is a rich full-bodied wine yet at the same time, remains in balanced across the palate with fine, elegant tannins – the hallmark of great Cabernet.

The luscious elegance of the Clare Valley fruit marries superbly with the slightly peppery fruit from McLaren Vale.

Black Barn's eight hectares of vineyards are situated on one of the oldest grape-growing areas in New Zealand. The selectively picked fruit ensures optimum quality and ripeness, while their artisan winemaking philosophy creates wines of depth, character, and remarkable cellaring ability. This Bordeaux style blend has a ruby hue with purple edge to the eye. Lifted berry and cassis, subtle oak spice aromas. Elegant fruit, fine tannin texture with soft acidity to taste.

The wine has a lifted bouquet of black cherry, violets, plum and all enhanced by hints of cedary oak. The concentrated palate exhibits boysenberry, red currant and fine grain textured tannins. Will age well with careful cellaring.

Blending the Maude Pinot Noir is one of their favourite and most important tasks. Each year, the magical blend from the Poison Creek and Mohawk Hill vineyards changes. Maintaining the pedigree of the Maude Pinot Noir is absolutely critical; but achieving this requires flexibility with both the blend as well as the technique as both vary with each vintage. The Lionheart of Dandelion Vineyards is their old vine Barossa vineyard. These ancient, gnarled vines, many over a hundred years of age, are not only surviving but thriving on their own roots in some of the oldest soils on the planet. In the last week of April whole bunches of Shiraz were hand harvested, then gently crushed and naturally fermented in open fermenters for eight days, hand plunged twice a day, before careful basket pressing into some new but predominantly older French Oak Barriques to finish fermentation. After 18 months maturation and a racking in the same oak, we bottled our Lionheart without filtration or fining, to capture the essence of the vineyard.
