Ca' Montini is a welcome surprise from the innocuous and uninteresting Pinot Grigio often found in the mainstream market. The wine is lemony fresh and breezy on the nose, with aromas of wet stone, apricot, pear, and Maraschino cherry. Bone dry and mineral laden on the palate, it presents fresh squeezed lemon juice with just a hint of green apple skin.

Pure, ripe and youthful with a mineral and citrus fruits laden bouquet. Aromas of ripe grapefruit and white peach, a cold river stone earthy quality, baked apple and quince. There's a floral scent of mountain flowers while the oak shows a raw nut quality and is moderately intense. Youthful, taut and fresh as the wine touches the palate. A dry wine with plenty of weight and poise, oak flavours include some baking spice and raw sugar sensations with fine tannins and acidity round out the mouthfeel. The Lionheart of Dandelion Vineyards is their old vine Barossa vineyard. These ancient, gnarled vines, many over a hundred years of age, are not only surviving but thriving on their own roots in some of the oldest soils on the planet. In the last week of April whole bunches of Shiraz were hand harvested, then gently crushed and naturally fermented in open fermenters for eight days, hand plunged twice a day, before careful basket pressing into some new but predominantly older French Oak Barriques to finish fermentation. After 18 months maturation and a racking in the same oak, we bottled our Lionheart without filtration or fining, to capture the essence of the vineyard. Dandelion Vineyards Lionheart is ready to drink and will reward cellaring and decanting.

A delicate Riesling with a finely textured palate featuring elegant minerality, lime zest and preserved lemon flavours which combine beautifully with floral, citrus and lemongrass aromatics. A delicate and textural dry Riesling with fine acidity.

Enticing aromatics of hazelnut, nutmeg, pear and white peach compliment an elegant and soft palate with fine texture and layers of grapefruit zest, ginger spice and Central Otago stonefruit. Peregrine's organic Pinot Gris is dry in style showing lovely ripe fruit and a subtle texture from a small portion of barrel fermentation. The cooler climate of Central Otago allows Peregrine to maintain a refreshing acidity and great length on the palate.

Wynns Coonawarra Estate Black Label Shiraz is a benchmark example of cool-climate Australian Shiraz, known for its elegant style. The 2019 has pristine berry fruits dominating the nose. Initially, the reds fruits are apparent - cranberries and redcurrants but then there is darker fruit more blackcurrant. A classic medium-bodied Shiraz palate, crunchy dark berries with black pepper and some sweeter cinnamon notes. The 2019 has a lovely texture - fine tannin with lively acidity.

Blending the Maude Pinot Noir is one of their favourite and most important tasks. Each year, the magical blend from the Poison Creek and Mohawk Hill vineyards changes. Maintaining the pedigree of the Maude Pinot Noir is absolutely critical; but achieving this requires flexibility with both the blend as well as the technique as both vary with each vintage.
