Te Kahu means 'the cloak' in te reo Maori and refers to the mist that envelops Giants Winery in the Tukituki Valley. Legend has it that this mist was used to protect a mythical Maori maiden from the sun as she visited her lover Te Mata. This is a wine of richness and an abundance of black fruit flavours and a long structured finish. Deepest crimson red. Brooding aromatically with notes of cassis, black olive and dried tobacco enveloping a dense core of blue fruits. The wine has a lovely focus on the palate with dark fruits framed by fine tannins to deliver a classical structure with an excellent future ahead.

Crafted from a tiny half-hectare block at Two Paddocks Red Bank Vineyard at Earnscleugh, Central Otago, which consistently produces the ripest and most intense Riesling on the estate. All grapes are grown using sustainable principles, hand harvested, fermented in stainless steel with a small percentage in aged oak. Wildflower and citrus perfumed aromatics. Followed by pink grapefruit and mango flavours, great tension and drive. This wine finishes dry but has generous fruit intensity and persistence.

A vibrant style of Pinot Gris with an attractive texture. Fresh yet elegant. Aroma is filled with delicate white flowers, nashi pear, white peach and red apple with a touch of cardamom and clove-like sweet spice. The shape starts with the fresh acidity followed by a juicy textural element from the gentle sweetness and barrel aged portion. The hallmark Pisa minerality cuts through nicely on the long finish.

Made from multiple parcels of Chardonnay clones planted on the stony soils within the Gimblett Gravels Vineyard, each parcel contributes a unique character to the wine. Pale lime to pale straw. Vibrant aromas of white peach flesh, freshly toasted hazelnuts and brioche. Craggy Range's Gimblett Gravels Merlot is carefully selected from parcels of Merlot in their Gimblett Gravels Vineyard. The warm, gravelly soils are perfect for the production of Merlot and the moderate heat allows the wine to retain freshness and structure without showing over-ripe characters. Bright garnet red with a crimson hue. Charming blue and red fruits vaunt the bouquet, with subtle brioche notes and black liquorice underneath. A warming core with plush blue fruits drives immediate deliciousness, but the dense tannin structure and fresh acid ensure a rewarding future.
