Wonderful aromatics of dark cherries and dried herbs and spices instantly grab your attention on the nose of this elegant Pinot Noir. On the first sip, your palate is greeted with soft, rich fruit flavours with a hint of spice. The moreish tannins and a velvety texture make for an impressive finish.

The palate is rounded in the mouth, with gentle citrus and white peach characters, enfolded in layers of crème patissière and hazelnut.

Upon release the wine is bright ruby in colour. There is a teasing array of vibrant red fruit on the nose including raspberry, pomegranate, cherry and plum. Spice and herbal notes, as well as a savoury underlay, add to the wine's complexity. While the palate has generous fruit weight and velvety tannins, it is balanced with refreshing acidity and a structure that gives the wine classic North Canterbury tension and pinosity.

Since its establishment in 1827, G.H. Mumm has been rewriting the rules of champagne-making with a daring and innovative spirit. This renowned champagne house is celebrated for its exceptional wines that embody elegance and complexity, setting them apart from the rest. One sip and Mumm Grand Cordon unleashes intense, complex flavours of fresh fruit and caramel that continue into a long, lingering finish. Lush aromas of ripe peach, apricot and pineapple cascade from the glass, chased by hints of vanilla and caramel, yeast, dried fruit and honey. Dreadnought Syrah is very classical in style, lifted red fruits with a dark edge of graphite and pepper along with savoury stem derived characters make for an intense and interesting aroma profile. The palate is very linear but vibrant carrying good weight and concentration but also a lively streak from the stem inclusion that makes the finish seem fresh and lithe.

Bramble, spice and wild herb aromatics sit gently on the nose, then lead to an elegant finely driven mouthfeel, showing poise, freshness and a lingering persistent finish.

This Shiraz honours the vision of pioneer Clare Valley winemaker Jim Barry and his wife Nancy. In 1964, Jim and Nancy purchased 70 acres of prime land from Duncan McRae Wood and planted their first vineyard with Shiraz. It was an inspired choice of both grape variety and location. Vibrant aroma of lifted violets, red currant, and perfectly ripe back plum, combine with well-integrated spice and a hint of very smart oak hidden in the background. The palate has commanding fruit with a density that stands to attention. Effortless flow throughout with flavours of ripe plum and purple fruits and layered fine tannin. Great intensity with a drive that will last for days.

This wine has aromas of pomegranate, ripe blackberries, warming spices and savoury notes. The mid-palate shows fruit sweetness, while generous but fine-grained tannins contribute to a lingering elegant finish.

An enticing Pinot Noir, firm yet elegant, with red and black cherries, plum, raspberry, black tea and dried floral notes.

A beautifully perfumed nose packed with wild red and black berry fruits, toasted brown cooking spices and lifted floral notes, layered over a subtle earthy background. The palate is juicy and lively up front, brimming with red cherry, plum, lightly roasted coffee beans and just a hint of sweet baking spice. A streak of fine acidity brightens the mid palate, blending seamlessly with fine powdery tannins to lift the palate towards a satisfying elegant finish.

With each vintage release the cool-climate Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz provides an interesting counterpoint to the more opulent and richly concentrated warm climate Bin 28 Shiraz. Bin 128 comprises fruit sourced from the unique terra rossa red clay over limestone soils of Coonawarra, a region that exemplifies the perfume, transparency and seductive nature of cool-climate red table wines. Coonawarra has remained the source of Shiraz fruit for Bin 128 since the inaugural release of the 1962 vintage. To further enhance the regional qualities of Bin 128, the wine is matured in a mixture of new and seasoned French oak hogsheads, élevage that was refined during the 1980s when the transition was made from American to French oak. The palate is medium-weight, relative to the likes of the warm climate Bin 28 Shiraz. The blue fruits noted on the nose are quite apparent on the flavour profile. However, the wine is orientated towards the savoury end of the spectrum. Cured meats, pepper, olives and paprika flavours vying for attention. On further inspection, almond kernels and cardamom add to the allure. The tannins are silken, finely woven around the fruit. The acid line is as neat as a pin. Everything is in the right place, a lovely wine now with decades of potential for those who can wait.
